Player Suspended For Hunter Pet Name – Player’s Fault or Customer Support?

A Hunter in World of Warcraft got banned for the name of his Pet. The name in question is “Carrion Bird”, the standard name of the Pet after taming it, named after the NPC ingame.

Automated Ban - Player Reports, Who is at fault?

This is not the first time that some player expresses their concerns on social media about an automated ban that is completely unjustified. Just recently, a group of players asked Blizzard on Twitter if they could get banned for something, with them responding ‘No’, but they already gotten an automated suspension and proofed Blizzard wrong in their own words.

The question still remains: Who is at fault? Why is it possible to be suspended for something that does not goes against the Terms of Service.

On the other hand, many people suspect the player to be banned due to the automated system because of player reports. Why? Why would a player who minds his own business and goes on with his day get mass reported by players? It is not uncommon for World of Warcraft players to tend towards the extreme and report players just for their own pleasure.
