Zizaran and the Path of Exile community are partnering up with Shopify Rebellion to bring you the next edition of The Gauntlet!

Set to launch on February 2nd, 9:00PM GMT!

One long year has passed since the last Gauntlet event, this time with deadly new twists!
We’re shining a light on the newly introduced Transfigured Gems. You must use a transfigured skill gem as your primary damage source when slaying bosses, in order to receive points from them. More details below.

The Misery Gauntlet has had its difficulty dial turned up significantly, especially on the high-end Uber bosses.

As we want the Misery Gauntlet event to be enjoyed by both players and viewers, we’re banning Detonate Dead and all of its versions, together with Arc of Surging and Penance Brand of Dissipation, as they don’t align with the general balance of other racing skill gems. We don’t want the Gauntlet to boil down to a showcase of non-intended interactions and/or play-styles, so this will be the norm going forward.

These bans only apply to those seeking event points and cash rewards (ladder cash prizes, bounties, and flash bounties). You can still run these gems if you only want to participate in the raffle prize drawings.

As always, we’ll be awarding players with a hoard of physical prizes, MTX raffles, and cash bounties that YOU can win!

Gauntlet is an in-game event where players compete and earn points by leveling characters and killing bosses to see how all of the classes fare in some of Path of Exile’s most difficult encounters. To add to the challenge, Gauntlet also has added modifiers. The event will take place as a Solo Self Found Hardcore Affliction Event League.

Random Draw:

Leveling your characters to certain levels can put you in random physical prize draws supplied by Shopify Rebellion! You can gain more than 1 ticket per account for the MTX / physical prizes below however, you cannot win more then ONE prize PER Category. GGG has also supplied 1000 mystery boxes that you can be entered to win by reaching level 50!

Banned Skills:
Banned Skills are BACK to hopefully fix some balance that would make the gauntlet more exciting to watch and play! Check out the banned skills below! 

The use of ANY of the skills listed below on ANY character will forfeit your right to claim any part of the prize pool including bounties, flash bounties and the main prize pool. DO NOT EQUIP THE SKILL GEMS.

Players that do not wish to compete for the prize pool can play ANY skill they want. You will still be eligible for raffles.

Public Profile Rule:

To achieve the above we will be requiring Public Profiles of all participants that wish to compete for the main prize pool, bounties, or flash bounties. Your profile must be set to PUBLIC at the START of the event. 

Breaking any of these rules under any circumstance will immediately remove your right to win any part of the gauntlet outside of raffles. This applies to your entire account at any point in time.

Portal Limitation Rule (new)

In order to receive Boss Kill Points you must only USE THREE OR LESS PORTALS in order to receive them. Entering a fourth portal will make your submission null. Uber bosses have this tech by default, the rest will be manually done.

Transfigured Gem Rule (new)

In order to receive Boss Kill Points you must use a Transfigured Gem as your primary damage source WHILE completing Boss Kill Point objectives. You may use a regular gem at any other point in time in the game if you so wish.

Prize Pool:

Shopify will be matching all donations to the prize pool. (Up to $25000)

The Total Prize Pool will be split as follows:

• The bounties placed by streamers and their communities during the fundraisers

• The bounties placed by sponsors

• The prize pool minus bounties will be rewarded as follows:

How to Join:

This time, Grinding Gear Games has made Gauntlet an EVENT LEAGUE. So show GGG how much you love the event and make sure to participate. Just Log in, click Join in the bottom right of the character select screen and get grinding at the start of the event!
