Druid Runes from SoD Phase 3

All Runes in Phase 3 have the same location for both Alliance and Horde.

Efflorescence Rune

At Level 45 Druids should head to (/way 57 68) inside a tower in Feralas.
Pick up Wisdom of the Guardians from Tyrisius, /way 57.2 69.0.
The quest requires that you prove yourself to the guardian spirits of Feralas, Azshara, and the Hinterlands.
Feralas – Treant Avatar (/way 58 52)
- Go to the Shrine of Feralas and click it. This will give you the buff Duty of the Warden.
- Find Gordunni Warlock to the south, starting around /way 61.8 55.6. They will Shrink you. Decurse that for decurse buff.
- Go east to the Writhing Deep around /way 75 62. Get a Zukk’ash Wasp to Poison you, and abolish the poison.
- Once you’ve completed these steps, you’ll get the Mark of the Warden buff.
- Return to the shrine and kill the Blightbark, the Guardian of Feralas. Although he is a level 50 Elite, he’s not a difficult fight.
Azshara – Hippogryph Avatar, /way 34 49
- Go to the Shrine of the Beast and find the white deer Child of Apa’ro around /way 43 30. He drops the Sacred Stag Heart. Child of Apa’ro is immune to spells; you will need to melee him down in feral form.
- Offer the Heart at the Shrine of the Beast. This spawns the Hippogryph Avatar.
- This spawns the Whisperwing, the Guardian of Azshara, who talks to you briefly.
Hinterlands– Moonkin Avatar, /way 66 53
- Go to the Shrine of the Moon at the top of a hill.
- The interaction reads “The calm comes before the storm.” This is a clue for you to cast Tranquility, followed by Hurricane.
- This spawns an elite Moonkin, Sagefeather, Guardian of the Hinterlands. Kill Sagefeather.
Return to Tyrisius, /way 57.2 69.0. Completing this quest will grant you Rune of Efflorescence and Seed of Renewal.

Elune's Fires Rune

Travel to Azshara and loot the Traveller’s Knapsack inside the temple located at (/way 20 62). Collect Keldara’s Log and a Mortar and Pestle. Read Keldara’s Log found inside the knapsack.
Around the temple, you’ll find Satyrweed plants. Loot three of these to collect Satyrweed Sample, then use the Mortar and Pestle to Brew Tincture and create Satyrweed Tincture.
Find a corrupted Hippogryph (it will glow green) with the Satyr Corruption debuff. Use Hibernate on him, then use the Satyrweed Tincture to dispel the Satyr Corruption debuff.
You will automatically be awarded the Rune of the Moon Goddess.

Improved Frenzied Regeneration Rune

Pick up the quest The Wild Gods from Shadowtooth Emissary in Emerald Sanctuary, Felwood, /way 51.5 82. This initial quest is not shareable; everyone will need to pick it up for themselves.
Only one player in a group needs to have done this step: Go to Jinth’Alor in the Hinterlands. Kill elite trolls to obtain Wildwhisper Draught.
Go to Razorfen Downs and clear the area around Amnennar the Coldbringer. Drink Wildwhisper Draught to spawn Spirit of Agamaggan. Speak to him to get a quest and Agamaggan’s Roar. Only one player needs to drink the draught to spawn him.
You can either do all three Dungeons for variety, or you can do multiple runs on the same dungeon. There is no difference between the Wild Offering drops among the three mobs. Since Wild Offering also becomes a currency (see Tips below), you will want to farm more of these anyway.

In each of these three Dungeons related to this Rune, you will need to kill specific mobs in to spawn a ghostly mob.
This ghostly mob can be killed once per Dungeon lockout, meaning resetting the same Dungeon and running it again is a valid strategy. When you trigger the conditions for the ghostly mob, you get a chat emote “You feel a shadowed presence”. Use Agamaggan’s Roar near the ghostly mob; this makes a level 52 elite called the Delirious Ancient turn hostile. Each Ancient drops 1x Wild Offering:
- Zul’Farrak: Clear any three bosses to spawn a Ghostly Spider to summon Delirious Ancient.
- Maraudon: Clear Princess Theradras area and spawn a Ghostly Raptor to summon Delirious Ancient. The Ghostly Raptor is in the water on the upper level near the turtles; do NOT jump down for it.
- Blackrock Depths: Kill all three boss encounters — High Interrogator Gerstahn, Houndmaster Grebmar, and the Ring of Law event — to spawn a Ghostly Basilisk on the Dark Iron Highway (road to Bael’gar) to summon Delirious Ancient.
Once you have collected all three Wild Offerings, return to Shadowtooth Emissary to collect your Rune.

Gale Winds Rune

Take the hidden path up into the hills in Grimtotem Compound in Feralas — starts at /way 66 33.

In a hut at the top, you will find a level 43 Elite Tauren, Namida Grimtotem /way 66.8 38.6. Kill her to receive the Rune.

Gore Rune

This Rune requires Friendly reputation with Emerald Wardens. Once you are Friendly, check in with an Emerald Wardens Quartermaster and purchase your Rune for 1 60.

Improved Barkskin Rune

Kill Thistleshrub Dew Collectors and Thistleshrub Rootshapers in Thistleshrub Valley in southwest Tanaris around /way 31 65, until one drops the Idol of the Raging Shambler. This has a required level 44 to use.

Once you have Idol of the Raging Shambler, right-click it to equip, then kill five enemies with Nature damage while under the effects of Barkskin. Druids can then click the Idol of the Raging Shambler again to obtain this Rune,

Druid Runes from SoD Phase 2

All Runes in Phase 2 have the same location for both Alliance and Horde.

Eclipse Rune

Obtain the Highway Robbery quest in Desolace at an Extinguished Campfire northwest of the Kodo Graveyard, /way 47 54
Go to /way 63 39, near Kormek’s Hut. Turn it in to Bibbly F’utzbuckle and pick up the quest On the Lam.

Booty Bay

Go to the inn in Booty Bay. Turn On the Lam in Tokal, and pick up Cherry for Your Thoughts?. Buy her Cherry Grog. She will send you on the next part of your quest, No Honor Among Thieves.

Arathi Highlands

There is Rowboat under the bridge between Arathi Highlands and the Wetlands, around /53 91 on the Arathi Highlands map. Interact with the boat and you will be teleported to the eastern shore.
Find Illari Duskfeather and speak with her. For most races, she will give (two equally hostile) dialogue options; upon choosing one, she will fight you. Defeat her, pick up the dropped bag and loot Illari’s Key. Open the chest and loot the Rune.

Berserk Rune

Thousand Needles

Druids will need to find the Beastly Effigy in Thousand Needles at approximately (/way 69 55).
- When in the vicinity of the Effigy, you will receive the Beastly Effigy buff.
Use Challenging Roar on the Beastly Effigy, which will spawn Zai’enki. Defeating this enemy will allow you to loot the Idol of the Heckler.
With Idol of the Heckler equipped, use Challenging Roar to taunt two or more enemies at once, then kill at least one of them while they are taunted. After killing five enemies in this way, right click the equipped Idol of the Heckler to learn this Rune.

Nourish Rune

Dustwallow Marsh

Kill Rotting Ancient at around 45, 51.
Loot the Rotten Seed, which starts the quest The Lost Ancient.
Teleport to Moonglade and talk to Orokai to turn in The Lost Ancient, then receive the follow-up quest The Lost Saplings.
- Accepting The Lost Saplings begins a timer for the remaining portion of the Rune discovery.
- Loot the Crystal Waters of Lake Elune’ara and receive the Water of Lake Elune’ara.
- Without teleporting, dying, or letting the timer run out, players must find and water four separate Saplings in the Eastern Kingdoms.
  - Arathi Highlands: Ancient Sapling at (/way 47, 72)
  - Alterac Mountains: Ancient Sapling at (/way 58, 44)
  - Stranglethorn Vale: Ancient Sapling at (/way 33, 65)
  - Swamp of Sorrows: Ancient Sapling at (/way 10, 39)

Once all Saplings have been watered, return to Orokai to complete the quest and gain the Rune.

Dreamstate Rune

Desolace

Kill Kolkar Centaurs in eastern Desolace around /way 73, 49, (yellow dot) until you loot Desiccated Seed Pod.
Go south to the pond around /way 70, 70. (blue dot). Swim in the pond until the pod becomes the Satyrweed Bulb.
Go north to Sargeron (northeast corner) and plant the seed in Sandy Loam, green dot around /way 75, 20. (green dot) This rewards the Rune.

Survival Instincts Rune

Swamp of Sorrows

Find Amaryllis Webb at /way 25.0 54.2. She sells an Entomology Starter Kit for 50. This contains a net and a guide.

Stranglethorn Vale

Go to the Lake Nazferiti logging camp and catch a bug located on a tree stump around /way 45 19.

Arathi Highlands

Go to the Northfold Manor and catch a bug located around /way 31 28.

Desolace

Go to the the Kodo Graveyard and catch a bug located around /way 51 59.

Swamp of Sorrows

Return to Amaryllis Webb and get the Rune for your bug-hunting prowess.

King of the Jungle Rune

Travel to Deadwind Pass and speak with the Dalaran Agent at Ariden’s Camp (/way 52 35). They will give you Ariden’s Sigil.
With Ariden’s Sigil equipped, or while with another player that has Ariden’s Sigil equipped, players must find and kill seven Dark Rider Elites after using Ariden’s Sigil to Reveal Dark Rider, which will reward them with a different Dalaran Relic. Players will know a Dark Rider is nearby if they obtain the Dark Presence buff.
- Deadwind Pass: the Dark Rider can be found at (/way 43 29) and drops Curious Dalaran Relic.
- Duskwood: the Dark Rider can be found at (/way 23 47) and drops Glittering Dalaran Relic.
- Swamp of Sorrows: the Dark Rider can be found at (/way 69 28).
- Arathi Highlands: the Dark Rider can be found at (/way 60 40).
- Badlands: the Dark Rider can be found at (/way 58 54).
- The Barrens: the Dark Rider can be found at (/way 52 36).
- Desolace: the Dark Rider can be found at (/way 65 25).
- It is unknown which Dark Rider drops each of the remaining Relics, but the Relics are as follows: Odd Dalaran Relic, Whirring Dalaran Relic, Heavy Dalaran Relic, Slippery Dalaran Relic, Creepy Dalaran Relic.
Once players have obtained all Dalaran Relics, return to the Dalaran Agent and turn in each of the various reward quests for experience and some silver:
Once all seven Dalaran Relics have been returned, players will obtain this Rune as a final reward.

Druid Runes from SoD Phase 1

In Phase 1, most early Runes have different locations for either Alliance or Horde. Higher level Runes do have the same discovery location for both factions.

Fury of the Stormrage Rune

Loot 3 Glade Flower and combine them into a Glade Crown. Find the Wooden Effigy at /way 66.9, 57.5, and use the crown on it. An Unleashed Nature Spirit Elite mob will spawn. Kill the mob to loot the Rune.

Horde

Mulgore

Loot 3 Prairie Flower and combine them into a Prairie Crown. Find the Wooden Effigy mob /way 37.7, 49.5, and use the crown on it. An Unleashed Nature Spirit Elite mob will spawn. Kill the mob to loot the Rune.

Sunfire Rune

Around /way 52.8 79.8, you will see three white Lunar Stones. Cast Moonfire on each stone. A Lunar Chest will appear then containing the Rune of the Sun.

Horde

Around /way 35.72, 69.61, you will see three white Lunar Stones. Cast Moonfire on each stone. A Lunar Chest will appear then containing the Rune of the Sun.

After finding Adventurer’s Remains or Adventurer’s Spirit in one of the locations listed below, you will have to team up with another healer of any class to start the ritual. This will summon a mob, which will drop a rune for every player involved when defeated. However, the mob will despawn for some time after somebody finishes it, meaning it’s harder to complete in popular zones.

On the North side of Teldrassil there is a Skeleton where the Harpies are, /way 33 35.

Speak to the Adventurer’s Remains at /way 60 33; this is inside the Venture Co cave near the northern exit.

Once you’ve obtained the following drop, remain over 50 Rage for 60 seconds to learn the new engrave:

Drops from Flatland Prowler (also needed for quest The Hunter’s Way) or Prairie Wolf Alpha (also needed for quest Wildmane Totem).

Wild Strikes Rune

Drops from level 14-15 Grimtotem Tauren NPCs, such as Grimtotem Ruffian and Grimtotem Sorcerer at the southeastern entrance of Stonetalon Mountains, around /way 80, 88.

Savage Roar Rune

Darkshore

The Ferocious Idol is dropped by Den Mother. Equip the Idol and deal 20 instances of bleeding damage to humanoids, then activate it from the character sheet to learn Savage Roar.

Loch Modan

The Ferocious Idol has been reported to drop from a plant (?) around 71,20, just outside the Mo’grosh Stronghold cavern. Equip the Idol and deal 20 instances of bleeding damage to humanoids, then activate it from the character sheet to learn Savage Roar.

Westfall

The Ferocious Idol drops from Riverpaw Gnolls, such as those inside the Gold Coast Quarry. Equip the Idol and deal 20 instances of bleeding damage to humanoids, then activate it from the character sheet to learn Savage Roar.

The Barrens

The Ferocious Idol can be found by opening Kolkar’s Booty within other Centaur camps. Kill centaurs to obtain Kolkar Booty Key. Equip the Idol and deal 20 instances of bleeding damage to humanoids, then activate it from the character sheet to learn Savage Roar.

Purchase Rainbow Fin Albacore Chum from Khara Deepwater In Loch Modan at around /way 40 39; then feed it to a thresher in The Loch (chum vendor is hostile to Horde).

Darkshore

Crab Treats drops from Furlbogs or is fished up in Darkshore. Feed it to a Young Reef Crawler.

Barrens

Around /way 44 22, you will find an Abandoned Snapjaw Nest by the Northwest edge of the Forgotten Pools. Interact with this object to receive Abandoned Snapjaw Egg. Take this item to The Easternmost point of the Lushwater Oasis Pond at /way 48 40. and interact with the Empty Snapjaw Nest.

Horde

Darkshore

Crab Treats drops from Furlbogs or is fished up in Darkshore. Feed it to a Young Reef Crawler.

Survival of the Fittest Rune

This rune is sold by Grizzby, located in Ratchet. To purchase this rune, Grizzby will require you to complete the following pre-quests.

Shredder Turbochargers – You will need to bring Grizzby 16 Shredder Turbocharger. These are acquired by using Shredder Autosalvage Unit on Venture Co. Shredders in the Windshear Crag, Stonetalon Mountains.
Dark Iron Ordinance – You will need to bring Grizzby 20 Dark Iron Ordinance. These are acquired by slaying Dark Iron Insurgent in North Loch Modan, or Dark Iron Rifleman and other Dark Iron dwarves in North Wetlands.
Fish Oil – You will need to bring Grizzby 24 Fish Oil.

These are acquired by slaying murlocs in Hillsbrad or Wetlands. You may also use the Auction House as these items are fairly common.

Starsurge Rune

Wetlands

A dwarf inside a cave in the Wetlands, /way 35 14, gives players a Marshroom, which will allow players to speak to a Frog sitting on a stump in a pond at /way 31 18. The Frog rewards the Rune.

Wild Growth Rune

Collect the three Owl symbols listed below to complete Trial of The Owls from Loganaar in Moonglade, you will not be able to access the quest unless you have collected at least 1 Symbol. These do not have to be obtained in any specific order.

Symbol of the First Owl can be found in Northeast Ashenvale at around /way 89 41. You have to defeat three waves of level 25 enemies, with two enemies in each wave.
Symbol of the Second Owl can be found in Duskwood. Head to the Northeast part of The Twilight Grove to pick up a buff at around /way 50, 35. Continue East of the grove to the Worgen area and look for a level 25 boar named Agon.
Symbol of the Third Owl can be found in Hillsbrad, and requires you to swim between two islands at around /way 36 76, and /way 54, 82, in less than 2 minutes using your aquatic form (click each statue).
