The final announcement at today’s Pokémon Presents was also the most mysterious: a cryptic trailer for Pokémon Legends: Z-A, which will release on the Nintendo Switch in early 2025.

The trailer, which lacks actual gameplay footage, shows Lumiose City from the Kalos Region (which was first seen in Pokémon X and Y) rendered in beams of light, while text reads “A vision of beautiful coexistence between People and Pokémon.” The final image of the trailer shows the Mega Evolution symbol.

At this point, nothing certain is known about the game besides the release date. Based on the trailer, we might expect players to explore Lumiose City and battle using Mega Evolution. Beyond that though, nothing has been confirmed by this trailer. More details are sure to emerge in the coming days, weeks, and months, so there’s plenty to look forward to as 2025 inches closer.
