Most used Phials like XX and XX are so called ‘Frost-Formulated Phials‘, which extend their duration if players activate the Phial Mastery as an Alchemist. Most players choose to skill Alchemy up to this level just to save money on Phials by making them last three times as long as usual.
This requires atleast Alchemy Skill 25, and 10 points in the Phial Mastery.
To quickly level up to Alchemy Level 25, players should pick up these materials from the Auction House. This saves a lot of time running around, and you can just craft it in one session.
With all the materials in your bag, go to the Alchemy Teacher in Valdrakken /way 36,71. Start learning the first Recipes and continue learning new ones while following these steps.
As soon as you are done, you want to open head to Waking Shores /way 57,68 and talk to Haephesta. She either grants you your first Quest for Alchemy, or you can skip it if you already done it on one character. Afterwards, you can travel to Ohnaran Plains /way 51,33 and turn in your Dragon Shard of Knowledge.
