Crimson Haze – New Japanese Expansion Officially Announced

During the latest Japanese Championship, the upcoming Crimson Haze expansion has been revealed. Crimson Haze will be SV5a for the Japanese Pokémon TCG, which will then be included into our May Expansion.

We have previously reported about the upcoming Twilight Masquerade Expansion that is releasing in May. Crimson Haze will be included in our next English Expansion.

Crimson Haze Official Reveal

Japan’s SV5a set, following Wild Force and Cyber Judge, is on its way. The reveal of its first cards is scheduled for tomorrow.

As previously mentioned, this set is scheduled to release on March 22nd. Its trademark listing was first uncovered in September.

As many people expected, the theme of this set will be on Bloodmoon Ursaluna. Alongside it, Sinitcha and Dipplin will also make an appearance. Bloodmoon Ursaluna made its debut in The Teal Mask DLC last September, initially as a side character. This variant of Ursaluna is unique in that it does not evolve from Ursaring, unlike the Hisui region’s Ursaluna.

In its journey from Hisui across the sea to Kitakami, Ursaluna underwent significant adaptations to survive the harsh environment. These adaptations included an extended lifespan, a new physical appearance, and the acquisition of a new Ability named Mind’s Eye. This Ability enables him to disregard changes to opponents’ evasiveness, prevents its accuracy from being lowered, and allows it to land hits on Ghost types with Normal- and Fighting-type moves.
