Mass Effect Crossover Event Brings N7 Cosmetics To Destiny 2

The Mass Effect Crossover Event launches on February 7th, and lets players, while the Glimmer Cap will also be increased within this weeks Patch.

Destiny 2 is getting a bunch of new content starting this week, and for fans of BioWare’s space-opera Mass Effect, you can look forward to some stylish new armor sets direct from that game universe next month. Available in Destiny 2’s Eververse store starting February 13, there’ll be a Commander Shepard-inspired N7 armor set for Titans, a Garrus-inspired Vakarian set for Hunters, and a Liara-inspired Shadow Broker set for Warlocks.

Bungie has been cooperating with other developers of successful games for several seasons. This usually involves crossovers with cosmetic items or specific content for Destiny 2.

For Fortnite by Epic Games, a detailed replica of the PvP mode “Control” was created in its creative mode. Players can also make the Fortnite battlefield unsafe on the iconic Destiny map “Javelin-4”.
Then they teamed up with Ubisoft and Assassin’s Creed. In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, players could buy a Destiny 2 character pack with armor sets, swords and skins. For the Guardians, meanwhile, there was a matching cosmetic set.
In the current Season 23, Bungie cooperated with CD Projekt Red to bring a knightly armor ornament set inspired by Gerald from “The Witcher” to Destiny 2.

With the crossovers, however, Bungie has also come under increasing criticism. As beautiful as the visual Witcher look is, it is not cheap. In total, the Witcher set cost about as much as the Witcher 1, 2 and 3 games combined. Something that was harshly criticized by the guardians and commented on with the words “Bungie didn’t understand anything”.

Season 23 now sees another crossover set in cooperation with BioWare and the popular game “Mass Effect”. Bungie has certainly taken note of the criticism from players. However, not in the way that some players had perhaps hoped.

Destiny 2 X Mass Effect Event

All players can claim the Alliance Requisitions Bundle for free, adding an Enhanced Defense Ghost Shell, Alliance Scout Frigate ship, and the Alliance Drop Ship Sparrow to their collection. This isn’t the first time that Destiny has crossed paths with other video games, as there have been Assassin’s Creed and Witcher crossovers in the past.

The price of the new armor sets has not yet been announced. However, the previous crossover outfit ornaments cost 2,000 silver per set, which corresponds to around 19.99 euros each. Whether Bungie will keep this price and whether there will be a combo pack will probably only be revealed on February 13, when the items are available in the store.

Only then will you be able to decide whether you want to defeat the enemies of mankind in Mass Effect style and whether the price is justified.
