In The War Within Beta, Upgrade Crests now require higher level keystones to be completed with the highest level of Crest dropping from +9 and above!

Aspect Crests in The War Within Require +9 Keys – Increase From +6 in Dragonflight

In The War Within Beta, Upgrade Crests now require higher level keystones to be completed with the highest level of Crest dropping from +9 and above!

On live servers, players who want quick Aspect Crests typically run a +6 keystone as that’s the easiest level keystone for Aspect Crests. It seems that this may be changing in The War Within, with the highest level of crest, Gilded crests, requiring +9 keystones or higher, making them harder to obtain.

Weathered (Whelpling) Harbinger Crest – Now obtained from Heroic difficulty dungeons, in addition to LFR Nerub-ar Palace and many outdoor activities.
Carved (Drake) Harbinger Crest – Now obtained from M0 dungeons, in addition to Normal Nerub-ar Palace and some outdoor activities.
Runed (Wyrm) Harbinger Crest – Now obtained from +4 to +8 keystones (was +2 to +5) and Heroic Nerub-ar Palace.
Gilded (Aspect) Harbinger Crest – Now obtained from +9 or higher keystones (was higher than +6) and Mythic Nerub-ar Palace.
