Blizzard has announced that crafted gear will cap at 636 item level (Myth 5/6) in War Within, keeping their maximum power level relative to that of Dragonflight.

Blizzard has announced that crafted gear will cap at 636 item level (Myth 5/6) in War Within, keeping their maximum power level relative to that of Dragonflight.

Upon noticing that the Myth track has been extended to 6 upgrade levels in The War Within, many players were concerned that crafted gear would fall behind, capping out out at only Myth 2/6 and be severely weaker than Dragonflight. This does not appear to be the case, however, as increasing crafted gear to 636 places it just one upgrade level behind the maximum Myth upgrade level.

Blizzard Clarification on Itemlevel for Crafted Gear

We’d like to clarify that crafted gear will remain at the same relative power in The War Within as in Dragonflight, i.e., reaching 636 item level at maximum rank and quality in Season 1.
