Many players are really eager to farm their heroic dungeon Best-in-Slot Gear, even many weeks before the Season 1 releases on September 18th. This causes them to que for a specific heroic dungeon and quit after a short time just because their item did not drop.
Blizzard is now implementing a higher threshold for players to receive the Dungeon Deserter debuff, causing them to not be able to que for 30 minutes.
Our advice: Do not burn yourself out, you dont need to farm this gear – It will be quickly replaced.
I’ve now come to understand the frustration that many people do go through, and now I can understand as well why people wish to leave a dungeon when the boss that they want an item from is either given that item or in many cases has not given the item.
I think I’ve spent the best part of maybe five to six hours today just grinding the same 2 dungeons in the hopes of getting the item I want from the first boss in each of those two dungeons. Alas, the bosses do not want to give them to me. Blizzard doesn’t want to give me the fun!!
Has anyone else been in the same situation where you’re waiting for one or two items, but they just do not want to drop and at the same time you don’t want to leave because you’d feel terrible to basically leave a group of people waiting for a tank or healer depending on what you are?
We’re currently working on a hotfix that will implement the Deserter debuff for players who leave a Group Finder dungeon early.
This penalty will apply to early leavers in all Group Finder dungeons.

My last 3 dungon ques have been Ara’Kar and 2-3+ people have left right after the first boss. I get it you want the trinket, but form farming parties instead of screwing with peoples ques.
Blizzard needs to put people who leave 2-3 times after a boss on an hour or more long cooldown please. To incentive people to finish the dungeons, or make there own groups.
